A remarkably robust beetle known for its incredibly thick, rigid exoskeleton. The dorsal surface features an intricate matte pattern composed of black nodules, bumps, and yellowish-white or cream-colored patches that create a stark contrast. The elytra are completely fused together, making the beetle entirely flightless and practically crush-proof.
