How this project was born
We are a small team of nature lovers and developers who saw that Costa Rica's extraordinary biodiversity deserved a modern, multilingual, freely accessible catalog. No institution funded us. No grant paid our bills. We built this out of passion — and we keep it alive because we believe knowledge about nature should be free for all.
